WE'RE BACK!
June 26, 2011

The rumors are true! No, not those rumors. We're back on the ol' scene and making music together again. You can see us on July 17 in West Chester, PA at the Turk's Head Festival. We'll be playing just shy of 3:00 for a ~40 minute set on the Everhart Park stage (100 S. Brandywine Street). We're also booking more bar & club shows in the greater Philly area again. See you July 17!

What have we been doing!?
August 23, 2010

It's been a while, hasn't it? Well, despite the long break from updating the site, we've been busy. Brenna is gigging with Matt behind her new solo material and Brian has been on the road and in the studio with several different acts. Jason has been keeping busy with his other group, Hippocampus. Just because we've been busy elsewhere doesn't mean we aren't cooking up new music. Coming up in the next week or so, we'll be releasing some new material so be on the lookout!

Orchestral face-melting on Nov 20!
November 2, 2009

Come see LEAVING CASH accompanied by orchestra members from the Downingtown Middle School and High Schools. We're talking quite a big scale production here and it's not to be missed. If you've been keeping up with us, quite recently we did an assembly & performance with the DMS orchestra students. Here's your chance to see and hear it live!

Brian Lefchak will join us on keys. Make sure to check out his page and give his originals a listen -- he's killer!

Very excellent opener Me And This Army

We certainly can't guarantee that we'll have anything close to another show like this any time soon, so, seriously, please come support. This isn't a bar gig. It's a unique show, location-wise it's very close to just about everywhere, and if you're trying to hit a bar right after (or before), it's next door to Victory Brewery.

Tickets available directly from us or pay at the door, $4.

Photoshoot with Lauren DeYenno
October 5, 2009

We had an excellent time with Lauren DeYenno (ellefoto.net) on Sunday, shooting all over. Check out the photos in our PHOTOS section and definitely take a look at Lauren's site. Over the next few weeks we'll be gearing up for a project with Downingtown Middle School's string program. We're also organizing a public performance of this project so keep checking back, and if you aren't linked up with us on Facebook, please fix that!

Oh, and a quick shout to everyone that has truly supported us so far. Greg, thanks for makin it out even when no one else does -- it means a lot!

New players, new website.
September 18, 2009

The close of summer also saw the unfortunate parting of ways of our guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Andrew McLean and our bassist/guitarist/keyboardist Matt Lobach. However, the show must go on! We are now joined by Matt Radomile (guitar/vocals) and Jason Smith (bassist of the band Hippocampus). If you haven't caught our new lineup live yet, please make sure to do so ASAP.

See you at the KENNETT FLASH next Thursday SEPTEMBER 24, 2009. Buy your tickets HERE.

On another note, hope you like the new site!

Album Release Show
January 6, 2009

Big thanks to everybody that made it out to our record release party this past Friday at Duffer's 352! We sold quite a few copies and the guys at Duffer's took great care of us. It remains our favorite place to play in the area!

Give A Little Try album cover

We plan on keeping really busy this Spring so be on the lookout on our shows page for dates. Be easy!

Another PSU Weekend
September 28, 2008

Well, the record is finished! It's in production right now, so while we won't exactly nail our initial deadline of October 1st, we'll at least be releasing it this Fall. Huge thanks to Phil Nicolo for his excellent mastering work!

In other news, we played Phi Kappa Psi again this weekend for a big and typically quite crazy crowd! We got some great footage of people cheering, screaming, and awesomely enough, chanting our name for a good minute straight! There was however, a downside. At some point between when we broke down the stage and left around 3:30am and when we returned to load our van at 2:00pm, one or more people stole some of our equipment.

The following were definitely stolen:
-One Custom cherry red Gretsch Catalina 8 inch tom and hardware
-One 13x3.5 inch Pacific Drumware Piccolo snare
-One Pulse Pro Saddle Throne
-One Marshall AVT100 foot controller

We've involved the police but if you have any idea as to the whereabouts of our equipment, please contact us at our email address: (leavingcash@hotmail.com). We're a working band and losing any equipment is a major financial hit. Please help if you can, we'd really appreciate it.

If YOU'RE the one who stole our gear, rest assured that it'll come back around to you.

NBC's 10! Show
September 1, 2008

Word! I'll be playing tomorrow morning on NBC's 10! Show right here in Philly. Seeing as the rest of the band is back at PSU in State College, and we need to start promoting our album, I got a good friend of mine, Jamie Tillman, to rock out with me acoustically. I gig with him all over the area and we'll be doing one of Leaving Cash's new songs from the album, called "Giving Up Again." It's gonna be a fun time. Be sure to check our MySpace page to get a listen of a few of the new tracks!

The 10! Show is on at 11 and I think 2pm also. Tune in and see it live or check it out onDemand.

Closing the summer out...
August 16, 2008

Hey hey everybody, if you were gonna come see us this summer and still haven't, tonight is your last chance. We'll be at Mr. E's in Coatesville. No, it's not in the city, in the event that "Coatesville" scares you off haha. It's right off the Coatesville (route 82) exit on the 30 bypass at 313 W. Kings Highway (right off the intersection of Routes 340 & 82). The drinks are cheap, the food is good, the music is rockin.

We take the stage at 10 sharp. Be there!

I also really need to take the time to thank everybody that came out the last two nights; all of our good friends from West Chester and Coatesville, and everybody that lives locally that supports us when we play Penn State. I especially need to thank Lars and Darrel (I hope I got the spelling right). You guys made last night at Duffer's exceptional. Thank you so much for your support!

In The Studio
June 25, 2008

Yep, we're still hustlin and recording the rest of our first full-length in between gigs. Come see us rock out acoustic style in Malvern this Friday (June 27th) at McKensie's, and Saturday night (June 28) full-band at Mr. E's Tavern. Check the gig calendar for more updates and expect the record to be out in late summer. Thanks for the continued support!
